I am Linh, after a year of living with my new Japanese friends in the dormitory in the language school, the time for me to move out had finally come.

I really liked how the campus was equiped with the high quality yet very simple facility(41) which made me wanted to stay there for a bit longer but I had thought about moving out for quite a long time and getting accepted for the new job was just such a timely(47) moment for me to head on.

My friends in the dormitory were very nice people, they were very outgoing(43), we had a farewell party(42) and they got me souvenirs(49) of the places where they are from in Japan. A couple of them helped me with moving to the new place.

There are a few things you have to do before and after moving to a new place in Japan, including finding a new place, letting the companies that you have the contract with to know about your moving and finally to let the office with the authority to know about your old address and new address.

You have to let the gas, the water, and the electricity companies know about your moving and so they can decide how you will pay for the monthly statements when they lapse(45)

If you signed up the contract for the internet, it will be a little more complicated. You might have to lose a little money with cancelling the current package before the expiration(44) if the company does not have the moving package.

Even if I moved to a new place, my friends and I still saw each other quite often in the language school and we met each other for the yearly(46) road trip funded by the school and a couple of those trips were actually funded by the mayor(48) of Tokyo as research trips.

When it comes to talking about Japan in general or Tokyo specifically, The State-of-the-art(50) and the unique traditions are often mentioned when people talk aboout this place.

We are a group of friends that share the same passion of taking photos so when we have time we often walk around the city to take photos of things.
